Happy National Potato Day!

Idaho Potato Facts:

-The Idaho Potato industry accounts for more than 15% of the state's gross state product.

-In 2008, an estimated 300,000 acres of Idaho Potatoes were harvested - about 11 billion pounds of potatoes. That's enough potatoes to fill 500 NFL football fields.

-The exceptional quality of Idaho Potatoes is a product of the state's rich volcanic soil, warm days, cool nights and an adequate supply of clean water for irrigation.
